What is Accreditation?

Accreditation is a voluntary process by which primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities, and professional schools submit themselves to an comprehensive review process by an outside agency to ensure quality and institutional integrity. The most credible type of accreditation in the United States is called "regional" accreditation, which means that an institution is accredited by one of the six geographically dispersed associations approved by both the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Accreditation is basically an organized way of determining the acceptance of credits or degrees from any particular institution. This process is extremely expensive and does not make quality education any better.

Since academic recognition is a continual process, the administration, faculty and staff of CCU has made a commitment to provide the highest quality standards of education without compromise, to the Biblical and theological philosophies of Christianity and without any government interference.

Please note that this approach to accreditation is uniquely American as most universities outside of the United States perate under a government charter or approval.

Is It Really Necessary to Attend a regionally Accredited School for your?

It’s all depends! If you are pursuing a college degree through a Christian school for the purpose of seeking employment in secular world, then my advice to you is to seek elsewhere. On the other hand, if you are seeking a degree from a Christian school for the purpose of perfecting your ministry, your church body, then accreditation of no value to you. You do not need an accredited degree to be an effective leader in fulfilling the great commission. If you were to ask such a thing in order to be a pastor, a teacher, or a leader in a Christian environment, I would recommend that you run as fast as you can.

If God is the one who called you, then your commission is from him not from a man or a board. If you are seeking a job from a church then you have to please them and ignore Gods in the process. God simply ask you to study to show thyself approved unto him and… a worker who can rightly dividing the word of the truth, and to be always ready to give an account for the hope you profess. Beside the confirmation of his calling to ministry, the other crucial thing you need is education and training.

Beside, Regionally Accredited School cannot afford to offer you tuition this low. It takes Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars to obtain accreditation plus it irrelevant to Christian ministry.

Where does CCU fit into this?

Great question! Degrees offered by Cornerstone are strictly religious in nature for ministry training purposes. We are not training people for advancement in secular field of employment. No guarantee is made, implied or explicit in any form except what noted here.

CURRENT MOON

Hi,

My name is Allison and If I start telling you what CCU did for me, time would not allow me to finish. I strongly recommend  CCU for your studies.

Hi,

My name is Mark and I have been so blessed from my studies with Cornerstone, it's beyond what words can describe.

If you're looking for a seminary where doctrinal belief and sound teaching are not compromised, I would definitely recommend CCU to you.

I'm Patrick,

It's never easy to find the right seminary when you failed to pray for direction. I know the Bible says " study to show myself approve to God" but many schools that I've checked out didn't provide that opportunity. A friend told me about CCU and I can't tell you how great that news was and still is.

CCU is the best seminary you can trust with your theological studies.
